To play Hand Drums is to seek and exercise your soul and connect with nature. in other words, spiritual connection.

To keep up with the rhythm, one must unconsciously open their soul to the natural musical waves found in Nature and only tapped into them through a soul connection, whether you are the one tapping in to bring out the rhythm or just receiving and grooving to the rhythm…

In a world growing more and more divided, I believe that we all have a duty to contribute in any way we can to a better Humanity, which simply means a better version of ourselves as humans. Drumming with people or alone goes a long way in helping us connect with ourselves, Nature, and naturally relate to others.

Drumming helps heal, and I am excited to support this Spiritual knowledge with the wonderful Research and organizational work on this Site prepared and maintained by Peter Scheer, MS, NCC, and Health Rhythms Facilitator.  A drummer for many years, Peter holds master’s degrees in mental health counseling and engineering and works as a therapist in his second career. Peter has been drawn to evidence-based studies of drumming and rhythms, trauma-informed therapy, and the mind-body connection.   This site is his attempt to provide an easy-to-use resource of scholarly works on the therapeutic effects of group drumming and playing rhythms.
